4.Sattu Paratha

Though not so popular, yet it is commonly seen in many homes.This comes in the list as its the most desi style and healthy than remaining all varieties of parathas. Served with pickles and chutneys bringing up an extra taste to it.

The making of Sattu  Paratha is quite a desi one(Village Style). Usually, the roasted grams are powdered and then mix with mustard oil, onions, ginger and garlic and other few ingredients depending upon the availability and then in a low oil is being cooked with the flavours you like. Once its semi cooked then it’s being left to cool. While it cools, we have to make the bread by mixing the flour, oil, salt and water. Wow! Considering it to my favourite but still person avoiding the sweets should be kept away from this.Because of its sweetness, it comes down in my list but still, it is so appetizing and delicious.

The making of Khowa Paratha is comparatively difficult. Usually, the milk is boiled to give thick casein( which we call khowa). After hours of boiling of milk, we get the left residue. The leftover is then mixed with sugar and nuts (usually cashew nuts)  and then in a low oil is being cooked with the flavours you like. Once its semi cooked then it’s being left to cool. While it cools, we have to make the bread by mixing the flour, oil, salt and water. After then putting the fillings between the folded bread, need to roll out the bread in a circular shape. The taste is quite appealing and it is to be served while being hot.
